US Justice Secretary Urges Investigations into Alleged Fraud

United States Attorney General William Barr has authorized federal prosecutors to investigate President Donald Trump’s alleged ballot box fraud by Democrats.

There is so far no evidence of this fraud.

In a letter with instructions to prosecutors, Barr spoke of “substantial allegations of irregularities in voting and counting.”

In the letter, however, Barr also calls on federal prosecutors not to pursue all too “unrealistic or far-fetched” allegations.

Since the election, President Trump and some Republicans have repeatedly claimed that the Democrats committed fraud, without providing any evidence.

Trump has announced that he wants to challenge the election results through legal channels.

Barr’s letter appears to be part of that strategy. Barr has been accused several times of using the Justice Department as a tool of power to protect President Trump’s political and personal interests.
