For the first time in Japan, a person has died from the effects of infection with the new coronavirus. According to the Japanese Minister of Health, it is about a woman in her eighties.
The victim died in the Kanawaga prefecture, which borders Tokyo.
This is the second death outside of China, where the virus’s outbreak began. The other patient died in the Philippines.
