President Donald Trump announced in a short speech to the American people that he is going to crack down on the rioters.
In addition to peaceful protests, many American cities have seen riots in response to the death of black George Floyd by a white policeman in Minneapolis for several days.
Trump announced that he would deploy all federal resources and people, civilians and military, to stop the riots and looting.
Also, he announced a curfew that starts at 7 p.m. and will be strictly enforced.
While the President made his speech at the White House, the security forces fired tear gas at the protesters further up in Washington.
