Negotiations between Ukraine and Russia will continue digitally on Friday, Ukrainian negotiator David Arachamia reported on Wednesday.

Ukraine would have liked to meet again physically, according to Arachami, but Russia refused. Therefore, according to the Kremlin, work must first be continued on a treaty between the two countries.

On Wednesday, peace negotiations ended with little hope after the Kremlin “failed to state that anything was promising or any breakthrough”. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the talks have yielded “nothing concrete” in his daily video message.

Delegations from both sides were positive about negotiations in Istanbul a day earlier, in which Ukraine made proposals on future neutrality, and Russia promised to withdraw troops.
