Russian ground forces have crossed the border with Ukraine in three regions. The Ukrainian Border Guard reports that infantry from Russia entered Chernihiv, Kharkiv and the renegade Luhansk regions.
Earlier it was already clear that the attack on Ukraine did not only come from Russia.
Also from the Ukrainian peninsula Crimea and neighbouring Belarus, the country is being shelled with artillery and other heavy weapons. Airstrikes have knocked out Ukrainian air defences and air forces, Russia says.
Ukraine confirms that at least eight people have been killed and nine injured by the Russian bombing.
