Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleba has confirmed that he will meet his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Turkey this week. The meeting was reported Monday by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.

According to Koeleba, the meeting is scheduled for March 10. “If he flies to Antalya, I will too. So let’s sit down and talk,” said the Ukrainian.

If Lavrov is willing to have a serious conversation, we’ll talk “from diplomat to diplomat,” Koeleba said. “But if he repeats the absurd propaganda of late, I will tell him the hard truth he deserves,” said Ukraine’s foreign minister.

According to Koeleba, Ukraine does not rule out the possibility that President Volodimir Zelensky will at some point enter into direct talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
