Donald Trump cancelled the “big” Republican convention scheduled for August in Jacksonville, Florida on Thursday.
At that meeting, he most likely accepts the nomination to be a presidential candidate on behalf of the party.
Trump is deleting the meeting because of the coronavirus pandemic that flares up in the U.S. southern states.
“We will not be holding a major public convention, and this is not the time,” he said. Trump believes it is his duty as president to “protect the Americans.”
