Bill Gates and his well-known foundation have factories built for vaccines against the coronavirus.
Microsoft’s founder selects the seven most promising vaccines, but only two of them will also be used. With this, the billionaire hopes to make a vaccine available faster. “We don’t waste time like that.”
Gates was a virtual guest on The Daily Show with presenter Trevor Noah. With the founding of the billionaire, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Gates has seven factories built for the most promising vaccines in the fight against the coronavirus.
In the show, he also immediately indicated that two of them would be used at most. Gates reported that billions would indeed be lost.
Still, this is a smart plan, according to the philanthropist. Now that a few billion “losses” in building factories that are never going to be used are always better than trillions of losses in a stalled economy, Gates explained.
