Ghislaine Maxwell, the alleged accomplice of late American sex offender and multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein, is due to appear in court next week.

Alison Nathan, a judge at the federal court in Manhattan, reported that a hearing is scheduled for Tuesday at 1 p.m. (7 p.m. in the Netherlands). This will take place via a video connection.

Maxwell, 58, was arrested in New Hampshire on Thursday and was transferred to a New York prison on Monday. She was Epstein’s ex-girlfriend and remained friends with him even after their relationship.

Some alleged multimillionaire victims say Maxwell was involved in the abuse. Several women have said in court cases that Maxwell was in charge of the multimillionaires recruiting network.

Maxwell is the daughter of British media magnate Robert Maxwell who fell from his yacht in 1991 and drowned in the sea. She disappeared from view after Epstein committed suicide in his cell last year.

Maxwell is on trial for six charges.

Four of the charges related to recruitment activities, including luring girls, transporting and planning girls, and two for perjury. Maxwell is said to have committed perjury when she insisted on not knowing about Epstein’s abuse.
