Tech company Apple is expected to unveil its new iPhone 14 line on September 7. The maker of the popular smartphones traditionally does this with a special event.
Apple is very dependent on iPhones. The devices typically account for half of the company’s revenue. In addition to the iPhones, a sought-after gift for many people during the holiday season at the end of the year, Apple will also unveil new Macs, iPads, and Apple Watch models.
The updates of the Apple devices come at a difficult time for the industry. The sale of smartphones, for example, is falling, which is influencing now that consumers are increasingly starting to feel the effects of high inflation. That makes them more cautious about making large expenditures. Even so, Apple seems to be better able to cope with the problems in the market than many of its competitors.
Usually, the new iPhones are in the shops about a week and a half after the unveiling. It is expected that this will now also be the case. Several store employees have already been told to anticipate a product launch on September 16.
Like in the corona years, Apple seems to opt for an online event. Several parts of the presentation are said to have already been recorded. The company’s last unveiling was in June this year. Then Apple came out with a series of software updates.
