Brazil again registered a record number of deaths from the coronavirus on Thursday. Brazil’s Ministry of Health announced that 4,249 deaths had been reported in the past 24 hours.

 

This brings the official death toll to over 345,000.

In the past 24 hours, more than 86,000 new corona infections have been registered in the South American country, with 212 million inhabitants.

More than 13 million cases of corona have been diagnosed in Brazil since the virus outbreak.

The coronavirus has been spreading in Brazil recently. On Tuesday, the grim milestone of more than 4000 corona deaths in one day was passed for the first time.

The country has the second-highest number of corona deaths and infections in the world after the United States.
